Marilyn’s artworks are stunning abstract paintings, the vibrant colours flow around the canvas using the negative space to enhance the movement.

Using her unique way of working no two paintings will ever be the same. She uses fluid paints, drawing inks and mediums, no brushes are involved, and the colours are literally poured onto the canvas or paper, creating beautiful shapes and patterns that are alive with exuberant colour and movement.

Her inspiration comes from nature, the sea, and the cosmos, particularly the amazing images provided by the Hubble telescope. Marilyn also includes healing stones in some of her work.

Gerald creates big and bold abstract paintings using mixed media; this includes a wide range of materials to create texture and unusual patterns. He enjoys experimenting with different materials to create unique and interesting paintings.

His paintings are not pre-planned; he starts by applying texture and layers of paint and as shapes appear, they become the focus of the work and determine the final colours. This exhibition will also include a collection of Wall Objects.

Gerald is a member of the Gloucester Society of Artists and has a workshop at the Lansdown Art Studios in Cheltenham.

Coming from a family background where art was always important there was an inevitability that Tony would become an artist. The vibrancy of his artistic style has been developed through travel, experimentation and a fascination with light, colour and shape.

At the Gardens Gallery Tony will be exhibiting a series of paintings inspired by Sennen Cove. This beautiful, magical bay is located in a remote part of western Cornwall near Land’s End.

No two days are the same and each painting endeavours to catch one moment in a day, using abstraction to convey a sense of mood, time and place.
